The SAFI project has resulted in the development of a decision support service, designed to assist:
• Assist aquaculture deployment (finfish and shellfish) and environmental monitoring during operations,
• Support fisheries by providing indicators of recruitments, abundances and shell/fish locations.
Check out the SAFI Brochure for more information.
SAFI exploits the latest developments in Europe's Earth Observation resources, developing tools to extract key information from the ocean of data available through them.
Here, you can find out about SAFI (Supporting our Aquaculture and Fisheries Industries), the project's aims and successes, and information on how you can contribute to shaping the products and services we have developed.
The products and services developed through SAFI are designed to equip those working in the aquaculture and fisheries sector with support services to assist with planning, developments, and day-to-day operations. Queries and feedback on the service are always welcome.
Training is a key component of the SAFI project, and we are pleased to announce the SAFI Training Event due to be held in Rabat, Morocco on September 27th and 28th 2016.
All information on the event is available here.
